Obituary for Mark J. Piscitelli
Mark J. Piscitelli 88 years of Whitehall formerly of Hokendauqua died Sunday June 25, 2006 in Whitehall Manor. He was the husband of the late Pauline M. “Polly” Piscitelli. Born in Cementon he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Piscitelli) Piscitelli. Mark had worked for 46 years with Mack Trucks of Allentown with the local UAW # 677 and the Mack Financial Group before retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church of N.Catasauqua and a member of their Holy Name Society. Mark was a member of the Mack Truck Retirees and was inducted into UAW Region 9 Retiree Hall of Fame in 1997. He was a member of the Hokendauqua Fire Co., the Coplay Saegenbund and the Hokendauqua Jones Quigg American Legion Post # 739. Mark served in the US Navy during WWII. Surviving are: Daughters – Maryellen wife of Larry Gor of Gambrills, MD. Monica wife of Richard Herlihy of Boston, MA. Brother - Dominic Piscitelli He was recently preceded in death by a sister Victoria Luciano Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday in St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church 1001 2nd Street N.Catasauqua. Call 9:30am until funeral home prayer services at 10:30 am in the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua with Father William Baker officiating.
