Obituary for Martha L. Green
Martha L. Green, 92, of Slatington, passed away on September 23, 2022, at Sacred Heart Senior Living by the Creek in Northampton. She was the beloved wife of the late George R. Green for 72 years before his passing in 2020. Born in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Mary L. (Troxell) Gogel.
Martha worked as a machine operator for Tama Manufacturing Company for over 33 years before her retirement. She also enjoyed spending many years working in the alternation department of Hess’s Department Store and The Bon-Ton. She was a member of Slatington Baptist Church.
After retiring, Martha attended many senior citizen meetings with the Walnutport and Slatington senior citizen groups. She also enjoyed frequent bus trips.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Richard A. Green and wife Dianne of Catasauqua; Kevin A. Green and wife Mary Lee of New Castle; and daughter-in-law Cindy of Carlisle; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son Keith A. Green and grandson Kyle J. Green.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Slatington Baptist Church and sent to 509 Main St, Slatington, PA 18080. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., Catasauqua, is entrusted with arrangements.
