Obituary for Martha "Marty" J. Grubb
Martha J. Grubb 75 years of Northampton died Saturday November 9, 2013 in her residence. She and her husband Sheldon E. Grubb celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary July 8, 2013. Born in Upperco, MD. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Jane (Baumgardner) Pottorff. Marty is a member of Bethany Bible Fellowship of Whitehall. While the couple lived in the York area she had worked as an executive secretary for Gichner of Dallastown, Pa. for 25 years before retiring. After moving to the Lehigh Valley Martha worked as a Nanny for the children of Drs. Eric and Michele Marsh; Bobby , Matthew and Alex. Martha devoted her time to children especially her own grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving with her husband are daughters Cindy wife of Kevin Kohler, Sherry wife of Denny Weaver, Tammy wife of Trajano Bastidas, sisters Ruth Hagerman and Anna Hernandez, brother Paul Pottorff. Martha’s grandchildren are Aaron (Katie) Kohler, Kelly (Justin) Gruber, Diana (Derek) Kline, Danielle (David) Anderson, Christian Weaver, Vicente (Linette) Bastidas, Christopher (Abby) Bastidas and Adam Bastidas. Her great grandchildren are Allison, Clara, Aiden, Zachary, Nathan, Owen, Elliot and Juliana. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday November 15 in the Brubaker Funeral Home 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua. Her viewing will be 9:30 until 11:00am Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Lehigh Valley Hospice 2166 S. 12th Street Allentown, Pa. 18103.
