Obituary for Mary A. Imhof
Mary Agnes Uhrinek Imhof, 91 of Catasauqua and Arden Courts Assisted Living in Wescosville died peacefully on November 11, 2008, at the LVH Hospice Unit having suffered a stroke. She was the beloved wife of 59 years of the late Anthony A. Imhof Jr (1918-2000) and mother of Anthony A Imhof III of San Francisco and the late John Imhof. Mrs. Imhof was born to Mary Kralovich Uhrinek and Joseph Uhrinek on September 3, 1917 and grew up in North Catasauqua. She graduated Valedictorian her class at Catasauqua High School in 1934. She was active in the Catasauqua Legion Auxiliary, the Catasauqua Band Auxiliary, Cub Scouts as well as 50 years with the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Catasauqua. Mary, a twenty seven year cancer survivor, was a kind, compassionate and patient person who was noted for her bright personality and devotion to her friends and family. Although she suffered from memory loss in the late years of her life, she never lost her innate kindness and gentleness towards others. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by, her son Anthony A. Imhof III and daughter-in-law Ellen McLean of San Francisco, granddaughter Andrea McLean Imhof (a sophomore at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH) her brother Felix Uhrinek of Reading PA, brother in law Arnold Imhof of Catasauqua as well as six nieces and nephews, fifteen grand nieces and nephews and several great-grand nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Anna Uhrinek Siebert of Catasauqua and the late Paul Uhrinek of Richmond, VA. Mass: 10 A. M. Monday November 17th, 2008 at St. Mary’s of the Annunciation BVM, 122 Union St. Catasauqua.
