Obituary for Mary E. Kalamar
Mary E. Kalamar, 89, of Hokendauqua, Whitehall Twp., passed away December 21, 2014 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was married to Joseph W. Kalamar for 66 years. Born in Hokendauqua, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Tutko)Pavlovchin. A 1943 graduate of Whitehall High School, she was a postal clerk for the United State Postal Service in Whitehall for many years until retirement. She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, N. Catasauqua. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, the Marian Guild and the Altar and Rosary Society of the former St. Andrew's R.C. Church, N. Catasauqua. Mary was a founding member of the Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association and served on the board of elections in Hokendauqua. Survivors: Husband, son, Joseph J. 'Jack' Kalamar and wife Alice of Davenport, FL; daughters, Gina wife of James Filipovits of Northampton, Patricia 'Tish' wife of James McCormick of Ponte Verda Beach, FL; grandchildren, Amanda Kalamar; Erica and Matthew Filipovits; Brian Lelko, Kelly Broeg, Shannon Thomas; 4 great-grandchildren. Services: Viewing from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., St. John the Fisher Catholic Church, North Catasauqua. Interment, St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery, North Catasauqua Contributions: In lieu of flowers, St. John the Fisher R.C. Church c/o the funeral home.
