Obituary for Maryann M. Schaffer
Maryann M. Schaffer, 81, died peacefully, Friday December 27, 2024, at Phoebe Home in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Randolph Schaffer and was married 39 years before his passing in 2001.
Born in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Etheleine (Fritz) Mertz. Maryann was a former member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic in Coplay. She was a Whitehall High School graduate and worked for many years for Western Electric before her retirement.
Maryann loved to work in her garden, but above all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a dedicated and selfless caregiver.
Surviving are her daughter Cheryl Schrettner and husband David, sons Randolph C. Schaffer and wife Lilian, David B. Schaffer and wife Jennifer; 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
