Obituaries
Melinda Margaret (Vandegrift) Lacey, 62, of Catasauqua, formerly of Langhorne, died Friday, July 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. She was the loving wife of James P. Lacey and would have celebrated 27 years of marriage together this month. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of Diane (Gilbert) Vandegrift of Bensalem and the late Walter Roland Vandegrift.
Mindy graduated from Neshaminy Langhorne High School where she was nominated Homecoming Queen. She was a hard worker and valued employee where ever she worked. Most recently, Mindy was a Business Manager for Willow Ridge Apartments and was awarded the Employee of the Year for 2023 out of more than 700+ employees. The 3D Dance Studio family was a big part of Mindy’s life. She loved everyone involved and attending and assisting with every event and dance competition that she could.
Mindy was a consummate host and loved organizing parties, dinners and get togethers with lots of friends and family. Her kind and generous nature made everyone feel welcomed and at ease. She was kind, she was extra, she was magical and she found joy everyday. Her family meant everything to her and she was everything to them. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Surviving along with her husband Jim and mother Diane, are her daughters Julia Logan Lacey and her fiancée Alec Hartranft, Courtney Elizabeth Madewell, Emma Alexandra Lacey, Brittany Anne Thomas and husband Morgan, Victoria Elizabeth Danner and husband Brian; sister Lori Scott and husband Chris; grandchildren Jackson Madewell, Tanner, Presley and Tate Thomas, Luna and Kaiba Danner; niece Allie Brown and husband John, nephew Shane Scott; and great niece and nephew Vivienne and Jack Brown.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm Wednesday July 17, 2024, at the Catasauqua High School Gymnasium, 2500 Bullshead Road, Northampton, PA 18067. There will be a time to greet the family prior to the service from 11-1pm in the gymnasium. Please use the main entrance in the front of the school by the flagpoles.
