Obituary for Mildred Arlene Genevese

Mildred Arlene (Kulp) Genevese, 88, of Allentown, passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Mildred was married for 62 years to Albert Genevese before his passing in 2021. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Cecelia (Groller) Kulp.


Mildred worked at Two Guys and as a cafeteria worker in the Catasauqua School District before retirement. Her first love was the Phillies and also was a Sixers and Michigan fan. She enjoyed baking, especially her molasses cookies at Christmas, making her chocolate peanut butter eggs at Easter, and cooking her filling for Thanksgiving, as well as making her excellent lasagna. She always had food available when guests visited. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's school and sporting events.


Surviving are her children Carol (Genevese) Helman and husband Andy; Kevin Genevese and wife Donna; and Tina (Genevese) Alamarat; 5 grandchildren Amanda Helman, Melissa Helman, Mark Helman, Anthony Genevese(Kaitlyn) and Aaron Genevese(Julie); sister Marie Lower and husband William Lower. She was preceded in death by brothers Richard Kulp and Robert Kulp and sisters Marion Meckes, Elsie Clark, and Pearl Schaffer.


Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown. Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.brubakerfuneralhome.com.
