Obituary for Miller H. Hardy, Jr.
Miller “Marty” H. Hardy, Jr., 67 years, of Lehighton died Monday, September 16th, 2019. He was the husband of Linda (Herman) Hardy and celebrated 25 years of marriage this past January. Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Miller H. Sr., and Ida Marie (Knecht) Hardy.
Before retiring, Miller worked most recently for himself as an electrician, owning his own electrical business. Prior to that he worked as a Union electrician for IBEW 375. A graduate of Nazareth High School, he was member of the Lehighton American Legion Post #314 and was an avid hunter. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church of Whitehall. Miller was a Vietnam Veteran and completed two tours serving in the Marine Corps.
Surviving along with his wife Linda are his son Brian W. Hardy; daughter Stacy Ann Hardy; step-daughter Pam Sheffer and her husband Rich and step-son Shawn Keller and his wife Rebecca; sisters Betty McGrath and Anna Cooper and step-granddaughter Madeline Sheffer.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 3900 Mechanicsville Rd, Whitehall, PA 18052. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Coplay are handling the arrangements.
