Obituary for Miriam H. Laudenslager
Miriam H. Laudenslager, 84 years of Catasauqua died Sunday January 15, 2012 in the Phoebe home, Allentown. She was the widow of the late Donald R. Laudenslager. Born in Catasauqua she was the daughter of the late George R.W. and Mabel C. (Flickinger) Michael. Miriam was employed by Cross Country Clothes as an office worker before retiring and then worked part time for the Jaguar Co. and Fuller Sportswear Co. She was a long time member of Salem United Church of Christ Catasauqua where she had served as the president of consistory, and elder and volunteered for almost all church functions. Miriam also served as an auxiliary board member on the Phoebe Homes, Inc., Allentown. Surviving are daughter Carol wife of Michael Lilly of Bath, son Larry and wife Dora Laudenslager of Dayville, CT., daughter Loraine Laudenslager with whom she resided, son Keith and wife Terry Laudenslager of Bath and daughter Karen wife of Al Renn of Catasauqua. Miriam has four grandsons Patrick, Tyler, A.J., Donny and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday January 20 in Salem U.C.C. 615 Third Street Catasauqua with Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Call 9:30am until 10:30am in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. Memorial contributions may be given in her name payable to The Phoebe Home Auxiliary or to the Salem U.C.C. Music Fund c/o of the funeral home.
