Obituary for Nancy J. Kutzler
Nancy J. Kutzler, 73 years of Bethlehem died Saturday August 16, 2014 after a long illness. She was the wife of Perry A. Kutzler and they just celebrated their 49 wedding anniversary. Born in Pottsville, Pa., June 12, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Harriet (Roberts) Edwards. Moving to Allentown in 1955, she graduated from Parkland High School in 1959 and enrolled in a two year medical secretarial program at Rider College. In the 1960’s she worked in the office of Dr. Ross Orr for eight years. In the 1970’s she became active in the Girl Scouts of America forming a Brownie Troop at Edgeboro School in Bethlehem. She was a summer counselor at Camp Helena. Nancy worked in the Bethlehem Diagnostic Clinic for 17 years in the 1970’s and 1980’s as a business manager. She then worked as a transcriptionist at Surgical Associates of Bethlehem retiring in 2003. Her interests include church, scouts, bowling, Liberty Band Parents Association and neighborhood functions. During the early years of Musikfest she enjoyed working as a volunteer. Surviving with her husband Perry is daughter Jennifer Ann Grube of Bethlehem Twsp. and her husband Robert, son David P. Kutzler of Souderton and wife Dr. Michele Kutzler, grandchildren Ryan and Olivia Grube and Evan and Ian Kutzler and brother Richard O. Edwards and wife Susan of the Villages, Florida. Memorial services will be 11:00am Saturday August 23 in Messiah Lutheran Church 2020 Worthington Avenue Bethlehem, Pa. 18017. Call in the church Saturday from 10:00am until 11:00am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in her name payable to the Messiah Lutheran Church or Alpha-1 Association 2937 S.W. 27 Avenue Suite 106 Miami, Fl. 33133.
