Obituaries

Norman N. Sharp, 91, of Allentown, PA passed away October 2, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.
He was the husband of Maryellen G. Sharp celebrating more than 54 years of marriage prior to her passing in November of 2010.
Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Nora (Olinck) Sharp. He was raised by grandparents Sadie and John Olinick of Ormrod.
He was a Rigger for Bethlehem steel, retiring after 41 years.
He was a very faithful and longtime member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton. Blessed with a love of music, he sang in the church choir and helped make Pierogies.
Survivors: Caregiver and friend, Betty Tirado and family, cousins: William Schoemaker and Joan, Doreen and Shawn Bush, Cynthia and Paul Flemming, sister-in-law Loretta Lipositz, 5 nieces and nephews and best friend James Sutton and Brenda and Norman and Maryellen’s good friend, Jane. He was predeceased by a son, Norman A. Sharp.
Services: Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. in the church. Contributions: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his memory may be made to St. John the Baptist U. C.C., 1343 Newport Ave, Northampton, PA.18067.
