Obituary for Norman P. "Pops" Reitz
Norman Paul Reitz, 81 of Catasauqua passed away on Easter Sunday March 31, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Charles and Tryphena (Snyder) Reitz. Norman served his country during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Northampton. Attended Moravian College. He was married for 60 years to Lorraine (Tameler) Reitz. He loved bowling, Auto Racing and bird watching. Norman worked for Solmar Surgical of Allentown for 35 years before retiring. Surviving with his wife Lorraine is daughter Nancy, wife of Randy Easterday, Sons, Eric and his wife Traci, Gary and his wife Wanda, Brother Forrest and his wife Arlene Reitz, Grandchildren Matthew, Jennifer, Adam, Jill, Ty, Hunter and Alexis, Great Grandchildren Madison, Eric, Emma and Aiden. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday April 6, 2013 in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 417 Howertown Road Catasauqua. There will be no calling hours. The Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in his name payable to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
