Pasqua “Lina” Armetta, 83, formerly of Catasauqua, died peacefully, with her children by her side, Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Phoebe Home in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Francesco Armetta who passed in September of 1991. Born in Carini, Palermo, Sicily, she was a daughter of the late Antonino and Angela (Calamia) Galfano.
Pasqua was a devout Catholic all her life and was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church in North Catasauqua. She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, which included running a family store in Carini, Italy. Pasqua was a devoted wife and mother and spent most of her life as a homemaker, caring for her children and grandchildren.
Pasqua will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her daughters Angela Ruffino and husband Francesco, and Maria Armetta-Ingrassia and husband Antonino, son Frank T. Armetta and wife Allison; brother Nicolo Galfano; grandchildren Salvatore and Francesco Ruffino; Daniela Mannino; Lance and Abriana Armetta; great grandchildren Sophia, Liliana, Enzo and Oskar and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Rocco Galfano.
Her viewings will be from 4-7pm Sunday September 8 and 9-10:30am Monday September 9 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 327 Chestnut Street, Coplay, PA 18037. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Monday September 9, 2024, at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 1229 Thirds St. N. Catasauqua, PA 18032. Interment to follow at Holy Savior Cemetery in Bethlehem. Memorial contributions may be made in her name, payable to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
