Obituary for Patricia A. Tomino
Patricia A. Tomino, 74, of Coplay, passed away on February 10, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Tomino with whom she would have celebrated 20 years of loving marriage this September. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Olive (Amey) Meckes.
Patricia was a graduate of Whitehall High School and went on to work in payroll for PPL for over 42 years before her retirement. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Coplay. She enjoyed volunteering her time at various church functions and especially loved to help with the church newsletter and bulletins. Patricia was known as the “card lady” who would never miss a chance to send a card.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, she is survived by two stepdaughters, Anita Reph and Christine Tomino; ten grandchildren, two great-granddaughters; nieces, Beth, Amy, and Kirsten; and sisters-in-law, Charlene Meckes and Marcella Pedersen. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert A. Meckes, Jr. and her first husband, Joseph Tracey.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 14, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 18 S 3rd St, Coplay, PA 18037. A viewing will be held from 2-3 PM at the church. Burial will follow the service at Coplay Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Patricia’s memory to St. John’s Lutheran Church at the above address.
