Paul E. Wingrove, 69, of Allentown and Islamorada, FL., passed away peacefully at his home on October 2 surrounded by his loving wife, Helen, and his two devoted daughters, Dottie and Jeannie. He and his wife would have celebrated 46 years of marriage this December. Born in St. Louis, MO., he was a son of Arnold and Pearl (Meyer) Wingrove. Paul was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Allentown and Burton Memorial United Methodist Church in Tavernier, FL. Surviving along with his wife, parents and brother, Bob Wingrove, are his two daughters, two son-in-laws, a sister-in-law and five grandchildren. He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in mechanical engineering at the Indiana Institute of Technology in 1968. He started his career at Bethlehem Steel and advanced to a Senior Technology Engineer. Later, he co-founded American Computer Solutions, Inc. with Jim Baker where he served as CEO until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed tournament fishing in the Florida Keys and photography, but most of all he would like to be remembered as a Christian man who loved his family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am October 11th, 2014 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, 18104. A Calling period will be held from 10-11am on October 11th prior to the service.
