Obituary for Paul J. Oswald
Paul J. "Zeke" Oswald., 72 years, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Friday May 4th, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Janice L. (Neetz) Oswald, celebrating 52 years of marriage in April. Born in Coplay, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Agnes (Schelly) Oswald.
Paul was employed as a trackman for the former PBNE Railroad and also the Labor Union #1174 in Allentown. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union in Bethlehem.
He was an avid bowler, hunter, fisherman and enjoyed carpentry, repairing cars (Chevys), the outdoors, stock car racing, and setting up carnivals.
Survivors include his wife, sons Ronald D. and his wife Julia of Whitehall, Brian P. and his wife Cathii of Breinigsville, and David S. of Whitehall, a brother Henry and his wife Donna of Whitehall, sisters Janet Newhard of Schnecksville, Myrtle Scholl of Emmaus, Doris, wife of Frank Graberitz of Allentown, Hattie Stewart of Harker Heights, TX, and Tina Melniszyn of Catasauqua, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers Martin, Richard, James and Martin and a sister Anna Oswald.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037. A viewing will be held from 9-11AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the family, c/o the funeral home.
