Obituary for Paul Stetz
Paul Stetz, 97, of Schnecksville, passed away on July 29, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Hregician) Stetz for 73 years. Born in Coplay, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Sokilka) Stetz.
Paul was a proud U.S. Army veteran who honorably served his country during WWII in the European, African, Middle Eastern Campaign. He spent many years working for Pfizer Chemical Company before his retirement and prior to that he worked at Lehigh Portland Cement Co. for over 20 years. He was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Northampton.
Paul grew up a farmer and continued that passion throughout his life as an avid gardener and plant lover. He also enjoyed spending hours finding and refinishing antique wood furniture.
In addition to his loving wife, Helen, he is survived by grandson Robert Stetz and wife, Jodie of Breinigsville; and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Ellie Stetz.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Paul R. Stetz and many brothers and sisters.
A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1343 Newport Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. A viewing will be held from 8:30 – 9:30 AM at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037. Burial will follow services at parish cemetery.
