Obituary for Pauline H. Albert
Pauline H. Albert, 94, of North Catasauqua, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving children on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles H. Albert, Sr. for many beautiful years before his passing in June of 2011. Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Pauline (Nikischer) Mayer.

Pauline was a 1945 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Allentown and went on to further her education at Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1948. She was a Registered Nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital for many years and then employed by the family business, Albert Bros. Florist in North Catasauqua. She was a former member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and currently a faithful member of St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church of North Catasauqua.

Pauline was a member of the Auxiliary of Catholic War Vets Post 0454, Woman’s Club of Catasauqua and the Coplay Saengerbund. She was also a former member of the HIANZN Chorus. She honorably served in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps during WWII. Pauline volunteered wherever she felt needed and received the “Volunteer of the Year” award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 1996. Above all, her biggest enjoyment and accomplishment was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She will be lovingly remembered and survived by children, Charles H. Albert, Jr. and his wife Susan M. Albert of Northampton; Jane A., wife of Leonard L. Rucci of N. Catasauqua; and Paul L. Albert of N. Catasauqua; grandchildren, Charles R. Albert and wife, Claire of Coplay, Christa A. Albert of Northampton, Anthony L. Rucci and fiancée, Lizabeth of West Jordan, UT, and Dominic C. Rucci and wife, Courtney of Sandy, UT. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Cameron, Charlotte, and Leonardo. In addition to her parents and her husband, Charles, she was predeceased by brothers, Julius, John, and Edward Mayer.

A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father Eric Gruber will be held at 11 a.m. Friday April 22, 2022, at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 1239 3rd St, Catasauqua, PA 18032.
