Obituary for Pauline R. Breitfeller
Pauline R. Breitfeller, 86, of Catasauqua, died Saturday July 9th, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Raymond G. Breitfeller. Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Adam Sr. and Minnie (Stuber) Cogossi. Pauline was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church of the Annunciation B.V.M of Catasauqua as well as their Altar and Rosary Society and Craft Club. She volunteered for St. Mary’s kitchen for over 50 years and was known as the Perogie Queen of St. Mary’s. Pauline worked for the former General Ribbon Mill in North Catasauqua until 1950. She enjoyed taking trips to the casinos, playing bingo and knitting. Surviving are her children, daughter Linda and her husband Martin Brady, daughter Joann Potter; son Robert and his wife Wanda Breitfeller; sister Mae Warmkessel; grandchildren Michael Breitfeller and fiance Patricia Stroud, Lisa Breitfeller and fiance Troy James, Tricia Steckel and her husband David, Allison Dolak and her husband Chad, Jessica Potter and Ryan Potter; great grandchildren Sienna Breitfeller, Derek, Andrew and Sophia Steckel, Brady and Brynne Dolak. She was preceded in death by brothers Adam Jr., Albert, Robert, Richard and LeRoy; sisters Arlene Frable and Beatrice Cogossi; and granddaughter Megan Potter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Wednesday July 13, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union Street, Catasauqua, 18032. Her viewing will be from 9-10 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the church or to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St. Suite 101, Allentown, 18103.
