Obituary for Pearl Derhammer Kidd Schmall
Pearl Derhammer Kidd Schmall, 87, of Catasauqua, formerly of Pennsville, died Tuesday May 4, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She was the widow of the late Anthony Schmall. Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elsie Derhammer. Pearl was a longtime member of the Zion Stone U.C.C in Kriedersville. She worked for many years at Boulevard Lanes in Allentown. Pearl enjoyed spending time in her garden and greenhouse. She loved animals, including her pet Dobermans and generously gave to many wildlife organizations. Surviving are her sisters Lucille Remington and Pauline Evans; brothers Paul and Bill Derhammer; niece Robin Swartley and nephew Dana Schmall and many dear and beloved friends. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday May 7th, 2010 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. Call from 10 -11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name payable to the church, 51 Church Road, Northampton, 18067.
