Obituary for Pearl E. Van Horn
Pearl Eddis Van Horn, 94, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Phoebe Home in Allentown. Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late George D. and Ruth Ann (Jones) Williams. She was the widow of the late Joseph Edward Van Horn. Before retirement, Pearl was a waitress at the Early American Restaurant in Catasauqua. She also worked for W.F. Mosser Co. in Allentown as an office clerk; Two Guys from Harrison store; and the Catasauqua High School as a cafeteria worker for many years. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua where she once served as deacon. Survivors include two daughters; Ruth Ann Kies and Sherryl Lee, wife of John Cesanek all of North Catasauqua. 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Jim and George Williams. Funeral Services will be held 11am, Saturday, January 24th, 2009 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. Call from 10-11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 2nd & Pine Streets, Catasauqua, 18032 or to Phoebe Home, 1925 Turner Street, Allentown, 18104
