Obituary for Peter H. Krall
Peter H. Krall 76 years old of Willow Brook Farms, Catasauqua died Friday March 12, 2010 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of E.J. (Stephen) Krall celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary June of 2009. Born in Allentown he is the son of Marjorie (Gould) Krall of Whitehall and the late Jesse L. Krall. Peter was the manager of Willow Brook Farms of Catasauqua for over 40 years. He established the Suburban Self-Serve Car Wash of Trexlertown which he owned and operated for the past 20 years. Pete also owned and operated the Peter H. Krall Auction Co. and was a member of the Pennsylvania Auctioneer’s Association. He was a 1956 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Animal Husbandry and was one of the founders of the Penn State Stockmen’s Club. He was a former youth advisor for many years to the 4-H Baby Beef Club teaching young people how to care for livestock. Formerly Pete was presented the Pennsylvania Livestock’s “Man of the Year” Award at the Livestock Show in Harrisburg. He was a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association, Porter Lodge F.& AM # 284 of Catasauqua, the Rajah Shrine of Reading and the Catasauqua Men’s Club, Catasauqua. Pete served his country in the U.S. Army during 1956 through 1958. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown. Surviving with his wife and mother are daughter Jennifer Susann Krall of Allentown, brothers Robert of Bridger, Montana, Jesse Jr. of Sebastian, Fl. and John of Cary, NC. He was preceded in death by his son Peter Andrew “Andy” Krall in 1999. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in his name payable to the Andy Krall Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA. 18032. Pete and E.J.’s late son Andy was an Eagle Scout and it gave E.J. and Pete great joy to continue to support the Boy Scout projects at Camp Trexler.
