Obituaries
Phyllis A. Laky, 82 years, of Northampton, passed away on April 11, 2023, from complications of Multiple Myeloma. She died peacefully with her loving family around her and is at home with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the wife of John R. Laky. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Julia (Piha) DalPezzo.
Phyllis was a member of Calvary Chapel of Lehigh Valley in Bethlehem. She was employed as an executive secretary in the banking industry for many years before retiring to take care of her grandson. She loved her husband and grandchildren very much. Phyllis loved being a Gram and watching her grandchildren play sports.
Besides her husband John, Phyllis is survived by her daughter Lisa Jane Palmer of Manhatten Beach, CA. Sons David and his wife Mary Ann of Whitehall, Thomas and his wife Reta of Hermosa Beach, CA. Brother, Ronald DalPezzo of Wellsboro, PA. and sister Barbara Kropf of Houston, Tx. Grandchildren David John (DJ), Kristin, Jackson, Ella, and Joshua.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037. Friends and family may pay their respects from 9:30 – 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at St. Peter’s R.C. Cemetery in Coplay. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Phyllis’s memory to Calvary Chapel Lehigh Valley c/o the funeral home.
