Obituary for Raymond J Mondschein
Raymond J. Mondschein, 90 years, of Northampton, died Thursday April 13th, 2017 in Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. He was the husband of Nancy C. (Cebula) Mondschein, celebrating 62 years of marriage last September. Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Burits) Mondschein.

He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Coplay and enjoyed singing.

He was a Villanova University graduate and a Navy veteran of WWII. Retiring as a claims adjuster, he was employed by Erie Insurance for many years.

Survivors include his wife, daughters Tina wife of Thomas Ernst of Whitehall and Carol wife of Dr. James Wertz of Bethlehem, brother Peter of Coplay, sister Rose of Alpharetta, GA, grandchildren Ryan Galgon and his wife Casey, Andrew Wertz, Kathryn Wertz and Nicholas Wertz, great granddaughter Gemma Galgon and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am Saturday April 22nd, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 4 S. 5th Street, Coplay PA. A calling period will be held from 9:30-10:30am Saturday at the church. Brubaker Funeral Home, 327 CHESTNUT STREET COPLAY, PA. 18037 (formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home) is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Peter’s Church, Elevator Fund.
