Obituary for Richard B. "Dick" Williams
Richard “Dick” B. Williams, 88 years of Catasauqua, died in his home on Monday April 29th, 2013. He was the husband of Catherine “Kitty” Williams of Catasauqua and celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary this year. Born in Bangor, he was the son of the late Blake and Claire Williams. Dick was a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Catasauqua American Legion Post #215. He was the sole proprietor of Modern Construction for over 40 years. Dick was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Catasauqua. Dick volunteered his construction skills at Catasauqua Area Showcase Theatre (Senior Work Crew), Lutheran Brotherhood/Thrivent (handicap ramps), Lehigh Gap Nature Center (birdhouse kits), Catasauqua Public Library, St Paul's Church, and Scheckler Elementary School. Dick also volunteered at Meals on Wheels. Surviving along with his wife Catherine are: daughter Jacqueline Hendrickson and husband Edward; step-sons Donald Wallace and wife Brenda and David Wallace M.D. and wife Arlene; step-daughter Ann Dreyman and husband Wayne; grandchildren Jennifer Groff and husband Nathan; Jonathan Wallace; Alexandra Rodriguez and husband Alex and Rebecca Dreyman; members of the extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Perdick Williams. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Saturday May 11th, 2013 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, Catasauqua, 18032. There will be a calling period from 10:00 until 11:00am prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the church or to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St. Suite 401, Allentown, 18103. The Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
