Obituary for Robert B. Helker
Robert B. Helker 90 of Luther Crest Retirement Community formerly of Catasauqua died March 6, 2006 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Evelyn (Matchette) Helker for 63 years. Born in Weatherly, Pa. he was the son of the late James E. And Elsie (Beers) Helker. Mr. Helker was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua and an Army veteran of WWII. He joined his father in the grocery business and later retired from the former F.W.Wint Co. of Catasauqua. Surviving with his wife Evelyn are daughters Barbara H. Weidman of Emmaus and Judith P. Helker of Downingtown, Pa. He was predeceased by a sister Janet. Services will be private. Arrangements are by the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home of Catasauqua. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua 210 Pine Street Catasauqua 18032 or to the Morgan Cancer Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest and I-78 Allentown, Pa. 18105
