Obituary for Robert C. Savitz
Robert C. Savitz, 87, of Nokomis, Florida passed away peacefully, on Friday, September 6, 2024, at his residence.
He was the husband of Mary A. (Daluisio) DelRe Savitz, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage prior to her passing in October of 2011.
Born in Allentown and formerly of Bethlehem and Hanover Township (Lehigh County). He was the son of the late Charles H. and Pearl (Bender) Savitz.
He was a 1954 graduate of Catasauqua High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Army.
Robert was a lifetime member of the former Christ Lutheran Church Schoenersville. He worked as a welder and structural steel fitter for Fuller Company and Lehigh Structural Steel Company.
Later, Robert and his wife owned and operated Marbo Farms at the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market for 20 years.
He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors: brother William B. Savitz (Nadine) of Northampton, stepdaughters, Mary Ann Bickley and her late husband (Joseph) of Hanover Twp., Pat Sabo (Ray) of Salisbury Twp.; grandchildren, Nick (Tami), Joel (Deborah), Jeff (Erin) and Ken (Sharon); five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; nephew William Hantz (Donna), niece Suzette Hantz
(deceased) and close friend Bonnie Nagle.
Services: 11 a.m. graveside on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Schoenersville Cemetery where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers: Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
