Obituary for Robert D. Deifer
Robert D. “Bob” Deifer, 63 years of Danielsville, formerly of Coplay, died September 24, 2016 in Philadelphia. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Raymond W. and Virginia (Hock) Deifer and he was the companion and partner to Marion Rapp.

He was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ Mickley’s of Whitehall. He had worked for McWane Ductile as an Electrical Superintendent for 12 years and for Mack Trucks as an electrician for 18 years. Bob was very civic minded having served on the Borough Council of Coplay, a founder of the Coplay Newsletter and one of the first adopters of the BBS (Bulletin Board Systems) and an early user of the Internet.

Surviving with his partner is a daughter Lynda Deifer, son Matthew Deifer, brothers Donald Deifer and his wife Shirley, Gerald Deifer and Barry Deifer. He has two grandchildren Logan and Tyson.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday September 30, 2016 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. His viewing will be 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday.
