Obituary for Robert F. Guth Jr.
Robert Franklin Guth, Jr., 68, of Whitehall Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20, 2008 with his family by his side. He was born December 20, 1939 in Allentown. He was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Margaret (Jones) Guth. He was the husband of Ann L. (Kates) Guth and they would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in May 2008. Robert served in the U.S. Navy for four years and he worked at a variety of jobs in the Lehigh Valley before retiring at East Penn Manufacturing in 2002. His hobbies were trains, building boats and after retiring he enjoyed making quilts with his wife that were donated to the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. Survivors; Wife and children Anna Zsigovits of Whitehall, Robert F. Guth III of Tamaqua, Maryanne Keiper of Fleetwood and Karen Zemlansky of Coplay. Brothers, Ronnie, William and Thomas. A sister Evelyn. Robert was blessed w/8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Thursday, April 24, 2008 in the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. Call from 7:00pm until 8:30pm Wednesday, April 23, 2008 and again 10:00am until 11:00am Thursday in the funeral home.
