Obituary for Robert H. Smale
Robert H. Smale, 97 years, of Whitehall, died Monday October 23rd, 2017 at his residence at Fellowship Manor. He was the husband of the late Irene M. (Kovach) Smale. Born in West Catasauqua, he was a son of the late William H. and Lillian M (Weiss) Smale.
Robert was a member of St. John’s U.C.C.- Mickleys. He worked for 27 years as a cloth finisher at the former Lehigh Dying and Finishing company before retiring in 1984. Robert served in the Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife Irene and daughter Janet M. Smale.
Graveside services will be held at 10am Thursday October 26th, 2017 at St. John’s Union Cemetery – Mickleys, Eberhart and MacArthur Roads, Whitehall, PA 18052. Memorial contributions may be made to the church care of Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032.
