Obituary for Robert I. Miller

Robert I. Miller, 81, of Allentown, passed away surrounded by loved ones at his residence after a brief battle with lung cancer on October 27, 2023. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Leroy and Hilda (Sicker) Miller. He was the husband of Frances J. (Lucernoni) Miller with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on November 15th.


He was employed for over 30 years at Mack Trucks where he had many roles in the assembly of large commercial trucks. Robert was very handy and had many hobbies. He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars and enjoyed going to the Lake House in North Carolina.


After retirement, he was a tour guide at the Mack Truck Plant in Macungie. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Frances; son Robert I. Miller, Jr, and wife Jennifer Squillace-Miller; daughters Michele A. Miller and husband David P. Roth, Karen A. Cornell, and husband Brian E. Cornell; sisters Janet Moyer, Sharon Kratzer and husband Richard Kratzer; grandchildren Nicholas and Rachael Miller; Christopher and Caitlyn Cornell.
