Obituary for Robert J Kerin
Robert J. "Bob" Kerin, 69 years, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 14th, 2018 in his home. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late John F. and Jeannette (Painter) Kerin.
A graduate of Shippensburg University, Bob was employed as an electrician for Abington Hospital for many years before retiring. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was also active in the Reserves.
Bob enjoyed tai chi, classic rock music, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Fred and Ethel, who will be going to Furry Feet Rescue as a result of his passing.
Survivors include his son Michael J. and his wife Katherine, brothers James and his wife Becky, and David, sisters Patricia Kerin and Kate DiMaio, and grandchildren Reece, Veronica, Alex, Dagny, Logan and Jessica. He was predeceased by a daughter Rachael (Kerin) O’Cieran.
A viewing only will be held from 6-8PM on Thursday April 19th, 2018 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 327 Chestnut Street, Coplay, PA 18037. Memorial contributions may be made to Furry Feet Rescue 771 S. Cottonwood Rd. Walnutport PA 18088, for the care and rehoming of Fred and Ethel.
