Obituary for Robert P. Kuhns
Robert P. Kuhns, 77, of Macungie, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Oscar and Mabel (Race) Kuhns and formerly lived in Philadelphia & Holland, PA. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Janice (Jacobs). He was employed by Bell Telephone Co. of PA for 37 years before retiring. An active member and volunteer at Asbury United Methodist Church, Bob enjoyed spending time in Florida, volunteering and attending Faith United Methodist in Ft. Myers. Prior to his illness he was an avid traveler and square dancer. Survivors: Wife; son James, husband of Sandra of Harleysville; daughter Linda, wife of Kevin Maydick of Allentown; grandchildren Brandon and Jordan Kuhns; Sean, Meaghan, Ryan and Neil Maydick. He was predeceased by his brother Richard and sister Margaret Boyd. Services: Saturday Sept. 8th, 2012 at 11 AM at Asbury Church. Calling hours 9-11 AM at the church.
