Obituary for Roland T. Huffort, Jr.
Roland T. "Nick" Huffort, Jr., 86, of Hokendauqua, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at his residence. He was married to Ruth C. (Buchmiller)Huffort for 65 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Roland T. and Lorraine (Baus)Huffort, Sr. He was a rate clerk for Greyhound Bus, Allentown and later, Amtrak, Ft. Washington. A WWII army veteran, he served his country honorably in the 11th Infantry Division. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Coplay. Survivors: Wife, sons, Mark Huffort and his wife, Mary Ellen of Coplay, Wayne Huffort and his wife, Patricia of Waterloo, Iowa; grandchildren, Adam and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Nathan; brother, Charles; sisters, Marilyn and Lucetta. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda. Memorial Services: 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2015, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay preceded by family visitation from Noon until time of service. The Rev. Timothy D. Boyer will officiate.
