Obituary for Ronald B. Flahart
Ron Flahart was born on September 10, 1944 in Spartanburg, S.C., and died in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg November 15, 2018. He was the son of the late Thelma (Allsop) Flahart and Martin Flahart. Ron was a graduate of William Allen High School where he excelled in football playing for Perry Scott. Ron was also a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy and Moravian College.
Ron was a former Asst. Golf Professional at Tavistock Country Club (NJ) and History Teacher in the Allentown School District. He retired as an Account Executive from Morgan Stanley Dean-Witter after 30 years. He was a resident of Catasauqua where he enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and photography which won him several local awards. What was dearest to his heart was spending time with his family.
Ron was married to Carol A. Flahart (Hartranft) for 44 years with a daughter Andrea Flahart (Justine) of Riegelsville, son Larry Flahart (Rebecca) of Bethlehem, grandchildren Leon Kukura (Emily) of Nazareth, Ian Flahart @ PSU, Hannah Flahart @ ECU and great-grandchildren Everly and Avery Kukura.
A mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Catasauqua on Tuesday Nov. 20th at 10:30 AM. Calling hours will be at the church at 9:30 Tuesday prior to the mass.
