Obituary for Ronald J. Bernini
Ronald J. Bernini, 80, of Walnutport passed away on November 7, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John and Sarah (Bigatel) Bernini. He was the husband of Judith A. (Kosman) Bernini, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage on October 1st.
Ronald graduated with a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University and an MBA from Penn State University, then served honorably in the Army National Guard.
Ronald was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Berlinsville, PA. He was an avid fan of college football and basketball, and an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, rifle target shooting, archery and trap shooting. He prided himself on giving full attention and effort toward everything he tried, and faced his challenges late in life with grace, determination, and understanding.
Above all, Ronald loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father and "Nono-Pop" to his family, and he holds a place forever in their hearts. He will be sorely missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judith, his daughter, Donna M. Bernini; son, David N. Bernini and wife Rachel; grandchildren, Alex, Jacob and Elena; sisters, Sandra, wife of the late Richard Gilliard, Sr., Marilyn, wife of Phillip Schwartz, and Patricia, wife of Larry Lutz; brothers, Michael Bernini and wife LeAnn, John Bernini and wife MaryAnn; and many nieces and nephews.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
