Obituary for Ronald J. "Butchie" Schlegel
Ronald J. “Butchie” Schlegel, 75 years of Catasauqua died Thursday December 18, 2014 in his residence. Born in Stiles he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Arlene M. (Tacker) Schlegel. Butchie worked for the former Allentown Bobbin Works and also as a custodian at the Coplay Saengenbund for many years. He enjoyed walking, spending time with his neighbors and friends and was very giving and big hearted. Surviving is his niece Cindy wife of Ronald Jenkins and family. He was preceded in death by his sister Darlene Heil. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday December 23, 2014 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. Call 1:00pm until 2:00pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o the funeral home.
