Obituaries
Ronnie graduated from Parkland High School and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where he earned his BA in Industrial Design. While at Pratt he was a member of the Tau Delta Phi fraternity. Ronnie was an artist and spent his life designing holiday décor for shopping malls across the U.S., Canada and the Islands, and enjoyed creating pop art prints of American celebrities. His love of art led him to befriend Sally Starr whose friendship he cherished.
Surviving are his sister Linda Galio (Thomas); nieces, nephews and many cousins and his canine love Sheba. He was preceded in death by a brother Michael J. Howanich.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday, April 24, 2017 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., formerly Robert A. Hauke, Jr. Funeral Home, 327 CHESTNUT ST. COPLAY, PA. His viewing will be from 10-11 Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to an animal rescue of your choice or to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Pl #170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
