Obituary for Rose M. Luchansky
Rose M. Luchansky of North Catasauqua, passed away on June 24, 2021, at the Renaissance Home in Northampton. She was the loving wife of the late Stephen M. Luchansky for 48 years before his passing in August of 2000. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Kathrine (Stead) Harkins.
She was a faithful member of the former St. Lawrence the Martyr Roman Catholic Church and now the current St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church of North Catasauqua. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rose is survived by son, Stephen M. Jr. and wife, Anna of North Carolina; daughters, Rosemary Achey of Catasauqua, Barbara, wife of Richard Dwulet of Conway, SC, and Karan wife of Walid Ali of Allentown; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her granddaughter Brandi Luchansky and great granddaughter, Ella Luchansky.
A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Monday, June 28, 2021, at St. John Fisher RCC at 1239 3rd St, Catasauqua, PA 18032. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rose’s memory to St. John Fisher RCC at the above address.
