Obituary for Rose M. Tassie
Rose M. Tassie, 89 years of North Catasauqua died Tuesday April 15, 2014 at Manorcare in Bethlehem. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia (Kollar) Tarafas. She was a widow of the late Thomas V. Tassie.
She was a member of St. Lawrence the Martyr Church and their Altar Rosary Society. She co-owned the Former Tassie Coal Oil Company with her husband Thomas for over 40 years.
Surviving are her daughters Monica, wife of Joseph Fignar of New Tripoli. Rosann, wife of William Paukovits of Walnutport. Sisters Catherine Yandrasitz of Catasauqua and Anna Stoisits of S.C. 4 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Peter Tassie brothers Stephen, Joseph, John and sister Maureen MSC.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday April 21, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church, 1001 Second Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. A calling period will be held on Monday April 21, 2014 from 9:30-10:30am at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. Memorial contributions can be made in her name payable to the Alzheimers Association, 617 Main Street #A, Hellertown, PA 18055.
