Obituary for Rosemarie E. Rieker
Rosemarie E. Rieker, 85, of Catasauqua, PA. passed away peacefully at her home with her husband Joe at her side. Born in Fogelsville, PA., she was the daughter of the late Stephen Bundra and Mary Ryba. She was the loving wife of Joe Rieker with whom she shared 59 years of marriage last August.
Rosemarie was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Church and served in the Alter and Rosary Society. She was the payroll manager at the former H. Leh Department Store. She had many passions. Rosemarie enjoyed camping, reading, crocheting and puzzles. She was happy to participate in the St. Mary’s block parties and playing bingo at the church.
Above all, she loved spending quality time with her family. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joe R. Rieker; sons; Stephen L. Rieker and wife Gail, Joseph Rieker and wife Julie, Rob T. Rieker and wife Nicola; grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Abigail, Zachary, Patrick, Nicholas, and Madison as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Bundra.
A calling period will be held at St. Mary's (Annunciation BVM Church) 122 Union St, Catasauqua, PA 18032 on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 9-10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to APDA (American Parkinson Disease Association) or to the church.
