Obituary for Roy C. Croll
Roy C. Croll, 78, of Catasauqua, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his residence. He was the husband of Lois J. (Williams) Croll of Catasauqua and they would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this Christmas day. Born in West Catasauqua, Roy was the son of the late John W. and Annie (Scheetz) Croll. Roy was a member of St. John’s U.C.C. – Mickleys where he was active for many years with the church consistory. He worked for 40 years as a carpenter for Morris Black & Sons of Allentown. Roy was a Navy Reservist for 27 years. He and his wife, Lois, loved to travel and drove their R.V. throughout the entire continental U.S.A. Surviving with his wife are a son Calvin and his wife Holly of Catasauqua; daughters Jean Krantz and Debra Croll of Whitehall and Susan and her husband Jack Molchan of Nazareth; brother Kenneth and his wife Louise of Florida; sister Eleanor and her husband Clarence Nagle of New Tripoli; grandchildren: Brandon, Austin, Andrew, Jessica, Carissa, and Alysce. Roy was preceded in death by a granddaughter Crystal Burger, brother Woodrow and sister Arlene Hawk. Services will be held at 7pm Thursday December 20th, 2007 at St. John’s U.C.C. – Mickleys. Call from 6-7 at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church, 2918 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, 18052, or to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, 18017.
