Obituary for Russell A. Deutsch
Russell A. Deutsch, 88, of Bethlehem, passed away April 9, 2016 surrounded by his family at the home of his daughter, Lois. He was married to the late Margaret "Marge" (Barna) Deutsch. Born in Coplay, the last of twelve children, he was the son of the late Joseph and Theresia (Yandrisevitz) Deutsch. He was retired truck driver for Durkee Foods, Bethlehem. A member of the American Legion Post #397, Hellertown, he served in the navy aboard the USS Kenneth D. Bailey during WWII. He was a lifetime member of the Northern Valley Emergency Medical Services(NOVA). He was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem R.C. Church Survivors: Daughters, Lois wife Joseph Favere of Bethlehem, Roslyn wife of Frederick N. Phillips Sr. of Germantown; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Jo. Services: Friends and family may call 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment, St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Northampton.
