Obituary for Samuel S. Santee, Jr.
Samuel S. "Buddy" Santee, 70, of Allentown, passed away October 14, at Hershey Medical Center after a brave and courageous battle with Leukemia. He was married to Carla R. (Blanchard) Santee for 34 years. Born in Coplay, September 12, 1945, he was the son of he late Samuel Sr. and Theresa (Klitch) Santee. A 1963 graduate of Coplay High School, he was the proprietor of Santee's Service, Coplay since 1982, when he purchased it from his father, Sam. Santee's was a family auto-repair business in Coplay since 1991. Buddy was one of the founders and first Chief of the Han-Le-Co Fire Company. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, cruising with his wife, Carla. An Eagle Scout, Buddy was an avid trap shooter, having won numerous awards in Pennsylvania and Florida. He was a member of the Coplay Sportsmen Assoc,ATA, and the Coplay Trap Team. He was a member of Christ UCC, Schoenersville. Survivors: Loving Wife, daughter, Marika wife of Kevin Chronister; grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew, all of Carlisle; sisters, Carol wife of Lee Zettlemoyer of Allentown, Sharyn wife of Paul Strisovsky of Whitehall; cousin, Phil Gogel and wife Val and their son, Cale of Danielsville. Services: Viewing , 6:30-8:30 p.m., Sunday, October 18, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay and 10-11:00 a.m. Monday, October 19 followed by a service at 11:00 a.m., the Rev.
