Obituaries
‘Tunny’ was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Whitehall. He worked for many years as a drop forger for Phoenix Forging in Catasauqua before retiring. He was a graduate of Whitehall High School, class of 1942. Samuel was a WWII veteran serving in the Army. He enjoyed hunting and loved fishing and deep sea fishing. He was an honorary member of West Catasauqua Fire Company #1 and a lifetime member of Hokendauqua American Legion, Post 739.
Surviving along with his wife, Betty Jean, are his daughters Beverly Sell and companion Richard Bushspice, Gloria Fabritze and husband Joseph and Terri Nonnemacher and companion Ron Butz; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Samuel was preceded in death by his brothers Sterling and Clarence.
Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Michael Bodnyk at 11am Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church, 3355 Macarthur Road, Whitehall, 18052. His viewing will be from 10 -11am at the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
