Obituary for Shizuko Leggett
Shizuko Leggett, 94, of Catasauqua, peacefully passed away at her residence on January 5, 2021. Born in Kagoshima, Japan, she was the daughter of Naojiro and Eto Kurauchi. Shizuko was married to Gerald A. Leggett until his passing in 1985.

She was proud to be the matriarch and homemaker for her family. Shizuko was known for her delicious cooking and baking skills, which she generously shared with everyone. Food always tasted better when “Grammy” made it! She loved to garden and had a green thumb. She always made sure that there was fresh fruit, vegetables, plants and fresh flowers plus baked goods, candy, and a warm welcome for all. Shizuko also had a special place in her heart for all her family.

Shizuko will be deeply missed by her daughters: Betty Oswalt (Bob), Karen Fioriglio (Patrick) and Linda Gross (Rudy). Sons: Michael Leggett (Janeane) and David Leggett (Carie). In addition to her husband, Shizuko was predeceased by her son, Edward Leggett. Grandchildren include Cassidy and Natalie Leggett, Jaron Oswalt and Danica (Oswalt) Honer, Nicole (Pitts) Landis and Collin Fioriglio, Alon (Gross) Hogan and Ariana Gross, Jake Leggett, and Laura (Leggett) McCarroll, Olivia Matula, and Lydia and Andy Prince. Great Grandchildren: Mikayla Gulich, James and Edison Honer, Chloe and Grayson Landis, Emerson and Ezra Hogan, Lexi Leggett, and Scarlett McCarroll.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Family Caregivers Network, Inc., P.O. Box 410 Red Hill, PA. 18076
