Obituary for Solomon "Buddy" W. Trexler
Solomon “Buddy” W. Trexler, 83, of Catasauqua, died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Manor Care in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Martha Y. (Remmel) Trexler. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Robert and Stella (Bogart) Trexler. Buddy worked for the Borough of Catasauqua for many years before retiring. He was a softball pitcher for a local Lehigh Valley league and was a big fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Buddy was an avid sportsman, enjoying bowling, hunting and fishing. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Army as tank driver. He was a member of the Catasauqua American Legion Post 215 and a life member of the Southworks. Surviving with his wife Martha are a daughter Barbara and her husband Andrew Korutz of Bethlehem; son Garry of Catasuaqua; brothers Robert and George of Allentown; sister Viola Remmel of Chambersburg and 3 grandchildren. Services will be held 11am Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua. Call from 10-11am at the funeral home.
