Sophie Laufik, 89, of North Whitehall Township, died March 19, 2014 at home. She was married to the late Frederick B. Laufik. Born in Ormrod, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Verna (Skalish)Kosht. She was a sewing machine operator for varous local mills. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Whitehall.Survivors: Son, John, at home, sisters, Anna Kosht, Evelyn wife of Bernard Slusaw, both of North Whitehall Township, a nephew, nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary and brothers, James, Michael, John, Paul.Services: Mass at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2014, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4456 Main Street, Whitehall. Viewing from 1-2 p.m. in the church. Interment, Blessed Virgin Cemetery, Northampton.Contributions: In lieu of flowers to the church c/o the Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037.
