Obituary for Stephen Buhay
Stephen Buhay, 92, formerly of Orefield, passed away June 28, 2015 at Above & Beyond Senior Living, Allentown. He was married to the late Amelia (Romanchuk) Buhay. Born in Pennsville, he was the son of he late Wasyl and Paranka (Babiak) Buhay. He was an engineering clerk for Mack Trucks, Inc., Allentown. Previously, he was employed at City Blue Print, Allentown. A WWII veteran, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton. He was a life member of both the Guthsville and Ranger Rod and Gun Clubs. Among his survivors are daughters, Darleen Malkames of Washington D.C., Debra P. Hockenberry of Orefield; grandchildren, Kurt Malkames and Ingrid Hockenberry; a brother, Walter of Boston. Services: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay with the V. Rev. David Clooney officiating. Viewing from 9 a.m. until time of service.
